Campbells Forest Solar Farm is a 205 MW / 233 MWp solar farm on about 360 hectares at Campbells Forest, around 20 km north-west of Bendigo in the Loddon Shire.

The project has development approval. Connecting it to the grid is the next step, and battery storage is planned for the site.

How it works

From sunshine to the grid

A solar farm is a simple, quiet machine: panels, inverters and a connection to the grid. Battery storage planned for the site will move some of that energy into the evening.

  1. Step 1

    Capture the sunshine

    233 MWp of solar panels across about 360 hectares turn central Victorian sunshine into electricity.

  2. Step 2

    Send it to the grid

    Inverters convert the panels’ direct current into grid-ready power: up to 205 MW for homes and businesses across the network.

  3. Step 3

    Store it for later

    Battery storage is planned for the site, to carry daytime solar into the evening peak, when homes and businesses need it most.

North-west of Bendigo, in the Loddon Shire

Campbells Forest Solar Farm is in open farming country about 20 km north-west of Bendigo, in the Loddon Shire of Victoria. The site sits on Pyramid-Yarraberb Road, north of Royals Bridge Road, between Yarraberb to the west and Sebastian to the south-east.
